“Controversy queen”, Rakhi Sawant Arrested by the Amboli police, who were acting on the complaint filed by model-turned-actress Sherlyn Chopra. Sherlyn has accused Rakhi of circulating offensive videos and pictures of her on the web.
Rakhi Sawant Arrested: The accusation
Rakhi Sawant’s arrest by Amboli police follows the complaint made by Sherlyn Chopra accusing her of circulating offensive videos and pictures of her over the web. The police have currently detained Rakhi and will be producing her in Andheri court after her plea of anticipatory bail was rejected by the Mumbai session court. The case was actually registered in November 2022 under the Information Technology Act. Rakhi was called for interrogation several times since November last year, but her refusal to cooperate with the police forced the law enforcement authorities to detain her before producing her in court for trial. The complainant, Sherlyn Chopra after Rakhi’s arrest took to Twitter to announce the same along with the FIR (First Information Report) of her complaint (FIR 883/2022).
Rakhi Sawant and the wrong reasons
Controversies have already become the middle name of Rakhi Sawant as she has been the most consistent one as far as “Being in the news for all the wrong reasons” are concerned. Rakhi Sawant arrested by the Amboli police precedes the controversy surrounding her wedding with Adil Khan Durrani. Rakhi Sawant’s husband Adil Khan Durrani was accused by Rakhi in public last week for his reluctance to make the news of their marriage public. She had accused her husband of wrongdoing and having some ulterior motive as the reason for not involving his family with the news of their marriage which was vehemently opposed by her husband Adil Khan.
She has been receiving her fair share of publicity on the smaller screens as she appeared on the sets of Big Boss 16 and other reality shows while the news of her pregnancy has been doing the rounds.
