Laverne & Shirley star died on January 30th at the age of 75

Cindy Williams had been a household name since the 70’s with her sitcom Laverne & Shirley and ruled the screen since then covering more than 5 decades of enviable career from 1976 to 1983. The show happened to be ABC channel’s most sought after the show during those times. The late celebrity actor had been ill for quite a while and passed away on January 30th. However, neither the doctors who treated her nor her family members have divulged any further information on her demise. In a career spanning over 5 decades, Laverne & Shirley star died after her partner Late Penny Marshall who paired with her on screen supported the late actor. Marshall too had passed away in December 2018 at the age of 75.

Laverne & Shirley star died: Condolences pour in

Cindy Williams has been survived by a son and daughter Zak and Emily Hudson who was the first to announce the death of the late actor on Monday, January 30th. “The passing of our kind, hilarious mother, Cindy Williams, has brought us insurmountable sadness that could never truly be expressed. Knowing and loving her has been our joy and privilege. She was one of a kind, beautiful, generous and possessed a brilliant sense of humor and a glittering spirit that everyone loved.”

Cindy’s illustrious career

Laverne & Shirley star died at the same age as her closely bonded partner Penny Marshall and had shared an emotional message when the latter passed away in 2018. The duo came close as they shared the screen space with the show “Laverne & Shirley”. However, Cindy had also starred in a few movies as well that include “American Graffiti” casted as the girlfriend of Ron Howard. She was awarded the BAFTA ( British Academy of Films and Television Arts) for the Best Supporting Actress for this role. She had also given the audition for the “ Star Wars” movie franchise, but was overpowered by Carrie Fischer.
