The CMS exam 2023 or the Combined Medical Exam 2023 for recruitment of Assistant Medical Officer or Assistant Divisional Medical Officer in Ordinance Factories, Railways and Central Health Services has released the notification for the examination to be held on July 16, 2023. The application form will be available online from April 19, 2024 to May 9, 2024.
Examination Pattern of CMS exam 2023
The exam is conducted by the UPSC in 2 stages comprising of a Computer based exam followed by a Personality Test. The online computer based exam has 2 papers: -
Paper 1: - General Medicine and Pediatrics
Paper 2: - Surgery, Gynecology, Obstetrics, Preventive Medicine and Social Medicine.
The total duration of the exam is 4 hours. The online exam is followed by an offline counselling for candidates who have been shortlisted in the online exam.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible to appear for the CMS exam 2023 candidates need to satisfy the below mentioned criteria’s:
- Candidates must have completed MBBS final year examination.
- Candidates should not be more than 32 years of age. However, relaxations are applicable for reserved categories.
- Candidates should be a citizen of India
- Candidates can be a subject of Nepal or Bhutan with requisite documents.
- Tibetan refugees who migrated to India before 1st January,1962 with the intention for settling down permanently, can also apply.
Application Procedure
- Candidates need to go to the UPSC website and click on the “ Apply Online” link.
- Candidates need to complete the One-Time Registration(OTR).
- The OTR process will help candidates create their login credentials. Once done, candidates need to login and fill out the Online CMS 2023 application.
- Candidates can fill in the required details as instructed accompanied by the requisite documents and upload their signature.
- Once done, candidates can go ahead and make the application fee payment online by Debit/Credit Card or Net banking or Offline (Bank Challan) to complete the process.
