SAG Awards 2023 – Background
The SAG Awards, as the name suggests, came into being in 1952 and is facilitated by Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA). The award recognizes the best of talents in Films and Television, mainly from Hollywood. Even though the award was founded in 1952, it was only since 1995 that the award reached its heights of popularity in the United States.
The award currently happens to be among the Top 3 awards in Hollywood, Academy Awards or Oscar and the Golden Globe awards.
