Miami Beach Curfew has been imposed and a state of emergency has been declared after two deadly shootings on Sunday. The news comes when, the Miami City Officials have confirmed that the curfew will be applicable at 11.59 pm on Sunday Night and will extend till 6 am on Monday, 20th March 2023 morning.

The Miami Beach Curfew has imposed 11.59 pm on Sunday Night and will extend till 6 am on Monday, 20th March 2023 morning, which might be again enforced from Thursday, 23rd March 2023 through Monday 27th March 2023 in order to contain the possible unrest that has ensued after 2 deadly shootings that happened on Friday, 17th March 2023 and Sunday, 19th March 2023. Both shootings occurred in the Miami beach area in the southern state of Florida.

The shootings on Friday and Sunday have left two people dead. The concerned authorities have been pondering on the schedule of the curfew after assessing the situation at hand and preparing to enforce higher security measures.
Miami Beach Mayor Dan Gelber said in a video message posted Sunday that the crowds and presence of numerous firearms have “created a peril that cannot go unchecked” despite massive police presence and many city-sponsored activities meant to keep people busy.
The latest shooting, which police said was caught on surveillance video, happened about 3:30 a.m. Sunday on Ocean Drive in South Beach, according to Miami Beach police.
