Luther Movie Review – Star cast and release dates

The new Movie Luther: The Fallen Sun precedes the British Television series by the same name that had made a significant impact on the viewers. The movie continues on the same lines as far as the narrative are concerned towing the same genre, Crime Thrillers. For Luther Movie Review, the star cast has been very much apt, with certain chances of being a part of Indris Elba’s best works. Playing the disgraced detective John Luther, he is supported by Cynthia Erivo, law enforcement personnel along with Dermol Crowly, Andy Serkis Hattie Morahan, Lauryn Ajufo and Vincent Regan.

The movie was released worldwide in theatres on 24th Feb 2023 and is slated for an OTT release on Netflix on 10, March 2023.

Luther Movie Review – Storyline

The movie takes us through the exploits of a once-decorated detective, John Luther in his pursuit to catch a serial killer responsible for gruesome murders in the city of London. The once-decorated detective at the beginning of the movie is imprisoned and fighting his own demons contemplating his failure to catch a cyber psychopath. The psychopath has been taunting him ever since to his already-haunted consciousness. Luther has to break open from his clutches, both mentally and physically, to catch the killer, to soothe his nerves.

Movie Review

Needless to say, the movie has been arguably one of Idris Alba’s best works. His portrayal of the toughness of mind happens to be the biggest takeaway of the movie. The narrative too complements his personal in the best possible way it ever can. Luther Movie Review, however finds the audience torn between choosing the best between the movie and the series, especially when the British Television series had garnered remarkable popularity.
