Hogwarts Legacy game launch is the latest video game to hit the markets based on the long anticipated Harry Potter and his exploits. After a long wait, the Harry Potter franchise is here to take its fans and admirers on a fantasy ride to the Hogwarts School of Wizard and Witchcraft. The recently released game has received moderate response till now from its fans.
Hogwarts Legacy game launch: Journey to the fantasy land
Penned by J.K. Rowling, which made a path-breaking change in her career and fortune as it took the world by storm, they were made into movies starting with the “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” in 2001. The movie became and instant hit worldwide which prompted the silver screen adaptation of the other books of the Harry Potter universe. Currently, it’s the video game based on the same series that has recently hit the market that aims to take players and fans on a never-before journey to a fantasyland with the lead protagonist Harry Potter.
Gaming in Wonderland
The game, which happens to be a role playing one however deviates from the narrative in the books to a fair extent. Every player at the start of the game is transported to the “Hogwarts School of Wizard and Witchcraft” as a student with a brief introduction. The game then transports its participants to the dark world of wizardry in a suspense-filled world guaranteeing an out-of-the–world experience. Hogwarts Legacy game launch is currently restricted to the consoles like PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Series S and PC and will soon be available on other consoles as well.
It has received its fair share of positive responses from gaming review sites like Opencritic and Metacritic with a review score of 84, but the creator’s views and comments on the transgender community, which had created much furor, might just affect the acceptability and popularity of the game.
