The Gadar 2 movie teaser with Sunny Deol and Amisha Patel was released as the lead cast starts off from where they left off in the prequel. The sequel of the famed Gadar: Ek Prem Katha which was released in 2001 rocking the box office with the romance of Sunny Deol and Amisha Patel in the backdrop of the partition genocide and independence of India is making its appearance very soon on the silver screen. The teaser is said to have been released on 12th June across social media platforms.
Gadar 2 – The Cast of The Movie
The upcoming movie has been directed by Anil Sharma, the director of the previous one with the Late Amrish Puri starring in a pivotal role. It revolves around Tara Singh (portrayed by Sunny), a Sikh truck driver from Amritsar, who falls in love with Sakina (portrayed by Ameesha), a Muslim girl hailing from a political family in Lahore, Pakistan.
Gadar 2 also stars Utkarsh Sharma who happens to play the role of Sunny Deol and Amisha Patel’s daughter just like he did as a kid in the previous edition. The sequel takes place 17 years after the events of the first film, shifting the narrative to Lahore in the year 1971. This change in location and time period promises to bring a fresh and captivating storyline to the audience, leaving them curious and excited.

Excited about the second part, Sunny earlier said, “Gadar – Ek Prem Katha has been an eminent part of my life, personally as well as professionally. Collaborating with the team after, 22 years was a creatively enriching experience.”
The narrative of the movie Gadar 2 has been kept under wraps considering the intent of the filmmaker to raise the anticipation quotient. The release of the movie is said to coincide with OMG 2 starring Akshay Kumar and Animal starring Ranbir Kapoor.
