Examination Pattern for Coast Guard recruitment 2023
- The selection of Officer Recruits is based on an all India order of merit which is based on the performance of candidates in various stages (I – V) of examination and the number of vacancies available for the post. Clearing of Stages I, II, III, IV and V is compulsory for recruitment in ICG. All candidates will be compulsorily subjected to biometrics, photo identification and document verification during various stages of the examination.
- Stage I – Computer based Written Test.
- Stage II – Preliminary Selection Board
- Stage III - Final Selection Board
- Stage IV – Medical Examination
- Stage V – Induction.
Eligibility Details
- For General Duty GD / Pilot / Navigator:- 60% in Graduation in all Sems with Maths, Physics as a Subject in 10+2 Level Examination.
- For Commercial Pilot CPL SSA:- 10+2 Intermediate Exam Passed with 60% Marks and Valid Commercial Pilot License from DGCA.
- For Technical Mechanical:- BE / B.Tech Engineering Degree in Naval Architecture or Mechanical or Marine or Automotive or Mechatronics or Industrial and Production or Metallurgy or Design or Aeronautical or Aerospace with a Minimum of 60% Marks. Maths, Physics as a Subject in 10+2 Level Examination.
- For Technical Electrical / Electronics:- Engineering Degree in Electrical or Electronics or Telecommunication or Instrumentation or Instrumentation and Control or Electronics and Communication or Power Engineering or Power Electronics with a Minimum of 60% Marks. Maths, Physics as a Subject in 10+2 Level Examination.
- For Law Entry: - Bachelor’s Degree in Law with Minimum 60% Marks.

- To apply for Coast Guard recruitment 2023, only ONLINE applications are accepted from 25 Jan 2024 (1100 hrs) to 09 Feb 2024 (1700 hrs).
