Barcelona beats Real Betis: How it all unfolded

Barca was not quite at their true best against Real Betis in the semi-finals, but the phenomenal performance put up by Robert Lewandowski and Marc- Andre Ter Stegen. Both the players stood out for Barca and were instrumental as  Barcelona beats Real Betis on the other hand started the game with a bit on the slower side as far as dynamism and setting up the attacks toward the opponent’s goals are concerned. In spite of being on the trailing side twice in the game, they came back strongly to equalize the scores.

It was finally up to the German goalkeeper Marc- Andre Ter Stegen, who made the difference during the penalty shootout with two exceptional saves that got Barca over the line. There were too many mistakes that Barca made during the play and all of them were as glaring and evident as they can possibly be.

The first blood was drawn by Lewandowski in the 40th minute for Barca that was equalized by Real Betis’s Nebil Fakir in the 77th minute. Barca, however, struck once again in the 93rd minute, thanks to Ansu Fati, to which Betis matched up in the extra time with a stunner from Loren Moron, and as a result, the match dragged through to the penalties.

Barca’s will now take on Real Madrid who also pipped Valencia in the penalties to reach the finals as we brace ourselves for another El Classico.
