Ciara and Russell Wilson visit the prison to sing with inmates in Everglades Correctional Facility in Miami, Florida. The program was organized by God Behind Bars, where the couple also read out sermons to more than 300 incarcerated inmates apart from singing with them in the prison church.
Who are Ciara and Russell?
Russell Wilson happens to be an infamous quarterback from the Denver Broncos team, playing for the National Football League who was formerly a part of the Seattle Seahawks team. Ciara on the other hand is a singer and performer with multiple Grammy awards under her belt. The couple, who have been together since 2015, has been the epitome of a happy couple not only in the United States but also all over the world.
Trip to the Prison for Ciara and Russell Wilson
Russell, currently a Denver Quarterback also read out extracts from the Bible for the attendees in the Everglades Correctional Facility in Miami, Florida before handing over the reigns to his partner Ciara who took over for the congregation song.
“You know what’s so beautiful about God’s love?” the “Level Up” singer asked. “Is it’s relentless. He won’t let off. He don’t let off. And do you know what I love about God and what he said and what his promise is? There is no condemnations in Christ Jesus.”
The preaching of the couple
Ciara was visibly emotional, but for good reasons, after she completed her song and addressed the attendees as she spoke out for forgiveness for the sins. She was joined by all those present along with her partner to deliver the message of the God for the wellbeing of the inmates serving the sentence.
“27 incarcerated men gave their lives to Jesus inside of a maximum security prison. 300 incarcerated men filled the prison chapel to hear a word from @dangerusswilson. He opened the night in Isaiah, ‘Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.’ - Isaiah 43:19, is what was conveyed by Ciara and Russell to the incarcerated ones.
