Avatar: The Way of Water- The Most Awaited Sequel Hits Cinemas

The director of one of the biggest hits of the era, Avatar (2009), is ready to blow minds of the moviegoers with the sequel Avatar: The Way of Water. The movie is ready to warm the theatres from 16th December. The movie before hitting the theatres did a business of 20 crores in advance bookings.

On its opening day (Dec. 16) throughout the world, “Avatar 2” apparently saw a massive audience turnout in India. Business sources suggest that the James Cameron-directed film will explode at the box office in India. The Hindustan Times stated that on its first day of release, the highly anticipated sequel to the fantasy-action picture from 2009 sold tickets worth Rs 20 crore via pre bookings. When compared to other major releases this year, such as “RRR,” “KGF: Chapter 2,” “Brahmastra,” and “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” this is one of the highest recorded advance booking figures.

Avatar: The Way of Water Expected Collection

This enormous sum is all the more remarkable considering that tickets for the 3D action-adventure apparently cost between Rs 250 and Rs 3000. Nonetheless, tickets have moved quickly. If this momentum keeps up, Avatar: The Way Of Water might open to between Rs 40 and 50 crores. To put it another way, the James Cameron film will get a head start in the Indian box office over not just its Hollywood counterparts but also local productions. This year, only “RRR” and “KGF 2” have accomplished that feat. The Zoe Saldana and Sam Worthington-starrer Avatar 2 is expected to break $600 million globally in its first weekend, according to industry analysts.
