Job Details for Junior Research Fellow

The selected candidates will be a part of a project under the ambit of the Department of Physics, School of Advanced Sciences. The job responsibilities include, “To study the cooling dynamics and mass spectrometry aspects of ions trapped in an electrostatic ion beam trap”. The appointment will be of contractual nature for a 2(Two) year duration. The shortlisted candidates can register for Ph.D in Vellore Institute of Technology. Eligibility Requirements

  1. Candidates applying in VIT recruitment 2023 should have secured pass marks in their Master Degree specializing in Physics or Chemistry with a minimum of 60% marks from any UGC (University Grants Commission) recognized University.
  2. NET/GATE qualified candidates will be preferred. Candidates, who are not NET/GATE qualified, will be paid as per the institute norms.
  3. Knowledge of programming language like C++, Python or Mathematica is desirable.
  4. Shortlisted candidates will have to appear for an interview for which the details would be intimated to them.
